3:10 to Yuma (1957)

Lovely almost noir-like black and white classic western. The script is very tight and the pacing is good, despite long scenes just being someone waiting. With plenty of tension between Ben and Dan. The dynamic between the two is really interesting, with Dan in theory has the upper hand since Ben is the one in handcuffs and Dan is armed, but Ben is a hundred times more relaxed, and likely used to, the situation he is in. Even though it is law against criminal, they do share a sort of mutal respect and understanding for what the others motivation is.

It has been more than a decade since I last saw the 2007 remake, which I do remember as somewhat more drawn out and more violent, but I feel like it is worth a rewatch soon with this in mind.
