Opera (1987)
Just my second Argento film after Suspiria and he really has a crazy unique flamboyant style of bloody camerawork. Here the camera is an active part on its own, almost interacting with the other characters. The kills are relentlessly gruesome, the metal score hilarious and the whole opera location sets the atmosphere. It just simply doesn’t reach the same height as Suspiria for me. The individual scenes here are great, but it doesn’t quite come together as a whole piece.
