Howl's Moving Castle (2004)
I think I prefer Miyazaki when there isn’t too much magic. This had a decent amount without going overboard as I felt it did a bit in Spirited Away. This has the setup like a classic fairy tale about someone needing to remove a curse. However here we set that basic premise in a country that is at war with another kingdom, and tells a lovely anti-war story and accepting old age. While the animation is as beautiful as always from Ghibili, I found the score to be a bit underwhelming. All in all a worthwhile watch, but not something I will return to probably.
