The Killing (1956)

Just what I needed after A Clockwork Orange which had a little too much going for it - The Killing is a beautifully looking hard boiled noir heist movie. I admit I mostly added this to my watchlist for completionists sake with Kubrick, but what a pleasant surprise. We have the setup of all the roles and their part in the scheme, which we don’t quite know the full extent of until it is executed, with all the things that go right, the double crosses and then having it all ruined in the end by some minor little thing.
