Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987)

A type of heartwarming comedy that seems to have gone away in the last couple of decades. I really the situational comedy and Steve Martin’s mostly calm demenaur throughout all this. When he finally looses it, we feel it is justified.

I had the most fun with the planes and trains part. Once they got to the automobiles it started to get a tad repetive. It was also easier to symphatise with their poor luck and less so when it was Del’s dangerous driving that caused the next set of problems.

A few jokes felt a bit dated but mostly because others have repeated them to death since.
