Decalogue X (1989)

The Dekalog series ends on a different note with this almost comedy like story sort of resembling elements later seen in White - main actors included. In some ways this made the entire thing feel a bit off compared to the rest, because it doesn’t immediately evoke the same strong emotions as the others. With this I was more shaking my head and chuckling at the absurdity of the situation and the concept of stamp collector “gangsters” was quite amusing. There is still an exploration of moral questions and reflections about possessing things and the dangers of greed in how it leads to distrust. Unlike most of the others installments this one kind of ends on a happier note.
