Midsommar (2019)

A good horror needs good sound and this one excels in using sounds to creep me out. Along with the beautiful and effectful camerawork, watching this was a unique mesmerizing experience.

Florence Pugh gives a great performance of experiencing a massive tragedy and her clearly unhealthy relationship is matched with Jack Reynor.

The first half of the movie hooked me with its increasing trippy madness and terror. All still with a foothold in reality. Then then last hour or so completely lost me. It got too weird and trippy. I am sure it has a point but it eluded me, bringing down the entire experience somewhat.
