Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)

What a unique experience. This movie owes a lot to The Matrix, but add so much more and might be one of the defining films of this decade.

The wild and crazy plot using the well known science fiction trope of the multiverse theory, but bringing it to the screen in a hectic tempo while never losing the audience. The movies manages to both take the idea seriously and acknowledging how absurd and ridiculous it also is.

I was conflicted whether to give this movie 4 or 5 stars. I don’t want to use half stars because it felt like a way to not deciding properly. So I end with 4 stars, because while I was outright entertained and fascinated with how unique this movie is, it didn’t really move emotionally in a significant way and all the kungfu stuff got a little too much in the end. Still a very high recommendation for everyone to give a try.
